Location: Boston, MA

Job Overview

We are seeking a Field Director for a Boston Mayoral campaign. In this position you will be a part of the campaign's senior staff, reporting directly to the campaign manager, and oversee a staff of field organizers.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and execution of  a comprehensive, data­ driven field plan 

  • Build and manage a field team to execute said complex field plan 

  • Set, meet and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement, and GOTV 

  • Design and standardize best practices for data management using the campaign’s voter file software 

  • Establish a strong professional culture within the field organization focused on accountability, specific goals, innovation and sense of purpose

  • Coordinate field organizing with fundraising operations 

  • Manage the field program budget and logistics in collaboration with senior staff

Qualifications
  • At least 2 cycles of campaign field experience 

  • Extensive experience with and ability to train on Votebuilder (VAN)

  • Experience managing and training high performing staffers

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; successful at motivating staff to meet recruitment and voter contact goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in digital organizing and conducting and field campaign in a virtual environment 

Additional Details 

If offered this position, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, you would likely begin working from home and conducting all campaign business virtually. However as the campaign progresses, and in accordance with all COVID-19 guidelines prescribed at that time, you will likely be asked to begin reporting to work in person.

Compensation

4,000-5,000 a month based on experience
