About the Campaign

This campaign is for a young, progressive candidate running countywide in Fairfax County. The position sought is heavily involved in criminal justice issues, and the candidate is an experienced advocate for reform and progressive causes. The campaign is seeking a part-time Finance Director to help meet fundraising goals to support an aggressive, grassroots campaign ahead of the June 11th Democratic Primary.

Expected start date: February 4, 2019

 

Duties of the Position

·         Assist in raising money through call-time and fundraising events.

·         Help Campaign Manager craft fundraising emails to various lists.

·         Set personal goals for fundraising.

·         Give updates to campaign team at weekly meetings.

·         Staff the candidate at various events.

·         Increase donor base through networking.

 

Requirements

·         Committed to progressive values and social justice.

·         At least 1 cycle of experience raising money for campaigns.

·         Ability to commute to Fairfax County at least once weekly.

·         Ability to work 20-25 hours a week.

·         NGP/VAN (or other CRM) knowledge.

·         BA in Political Science or related degree (Recommended but not required).

 

Pay commensurate with experience.
