Temporary Membership Canvasser Position Denver Metro Area
United For A New Economy (UNE) is a new grassroots community organization in the Denver Metro Area. Our mission is to build power to ensure that our economy and political system works for all Colorado residents, especially low income people, communities of color and immigrants. We create this change by engaging unions, workers, faith communities and neighborhoods to advance innovative policy solutions, provide voter education and support community-driven campaigns on economic justice issues.

The ideal candidate:
● Is passionate about empowering the low-income people and people of color in the Denver Metro Area
● Has canvassing or political campaign experience
● Has strong attention to detail and experience using a smartphone or tablet
● Loves talking to people
● Must be able and willing to walk for long distances outside in a variety of weather elements (door-to-door canvassing)
● Preferred Bilingual – conversational in both English and Spanish
● Can work flexible hours
Qualifications:
● Membership Organizer must be organized and clearly record canvass results
● Membership Organizer must have excellent communication skills
● Membership Organizer must be skilled at cold calling and engaging community members in conversation
● Membership Organizer must work well in a team and be flexible and adaptive to changing conditions
● Membership Organizer must be able to stand for long periods of time
Responsibilities:
● Educate and engage voters through door-to-door canvassing
● Understand and articulate the broader concepts related to the campaign issue
● Completely and accurately record data using a Ipad tablet
Hours and Hourly Rate: Full-Time & Part-time positions available. Hourly pay is $15/hour.
Location: The candidate must be located in or willing to commute to Metro Denver, including Denver and other metro Counties.
