Part Time Recruiter with the DCCC in Black Hawk County, Iowa

The DCCC is seeking a reliable, part-time recruiter with good communication skills to recruit, and screen prospective canvassers ahead of the 2018 Midterm Elections.

Must be over the age of 18.

Schedule and Pay:

Hours: 20 hours per week

Employment type: Part-Time

Duties Include:

• Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/social media/colleges etc.
• Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
• Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
• Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills,experience and aptitudes
• Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated.
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.

Skills needed:

• Outgoing and comfortable with talking to people, recruiting at schools, on social media etc.
• Punctual, well organized, self-motivated, energetic, and motivated to work independently.
• Strong passion for progressive politics.
• Political, community, or labor experience a plus.
• Being bilingual (particularly in Spanish) is a plus.
• Polite and courteous.

Salary: $15.00 /hour
