Braxton Winston’s re-election campaign for Charlotte City Council At-Large is seeking a Finance Director in Charlotte, North Carolina to begin immediately through November 2019.

 

The candidate must be willing to staff call time, do donor and political research, organize meetings and fundraisers, and help change the world, starting with Charlotte.

 

The Finance Director will work closely with the candidate and campaign manager to meet the financial goals of the campaign.

 

Finance Director Duties:

  • Develop, manage and execute strategic finance plan through the 2019 election cycle
  • Execute weekly, monthly and quarterly goals
  • Manage call time and other activities to hit fundraising targets and deadlines
  • Execute and manage donor research and expand existing donor networks
  • Develop and oversee digital, direct mail, and email fundraising programs
  • Ensure that digital and email fundraising activities are on-message and executed within the campaign’s communications plan
  • Follow up on all correspondence and pledges
  • Oversee execution of financial reporting and complete election fundraising compliance in coordination with Treasurer to ensure all reporting deadlines are met

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ cycles of Democratic campaign finance leadership experience
  • NGP Expert
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask, project manage and coordinate multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of FEC finance law
  • Experience leading donor research and prospecting
  • Access to reliable transportation required
  • Expert time management skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
