HOUSE MAJORITY PAC:

House Majority PAC is an independent expenditure only committee (often called a “Super PAC”) that is designed to help elect Democrats running for the House of Representatives and hold Republicans accountable.  House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that can take on the Republican outside groups in the battle for the House Majority.


PRIMARY PURPOSE:


Develop and execute House Majority PAC’s press strategy, including working with electronic and print reporters, overseeing our social media content, and assisting with other communications projects as needed.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute an overall press strategy for House Majority PAC;

  • Communicate information about our work to reporters in DC and in our targeted districts;

  • Manage House Majority PAC’s presence across social media networks and serve as primary social media content developer

  • Design and produce timely, compelling graphic content for Facebook, Twitter, and House Majority PAC bulk emails

  • Oversee the production of short, persuasive web videos using news clips and other video for public release

  • Oversee the production of microsites and web pages to help drive House Majority PAC messages

  • Produce first draft email and petition content, as needed


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED:

  • Minimum two years on-the-record experience

  • Excellent communications, including oral and written, skills

  • Previous demonstrated experience with, but not limited to, the following programs (or similar brands of software):  CSS, HTML, Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro (basic video editing skills), and Adobe Photoshop (basic photo editing skills)

  • Previous experience using a bulk mailer such as Blue State Digital, NGP, and Convio desired


LOCATION:  Washington, DC

START DATE:  February 2016

TRAVEL:  Little to no travel will be required

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience
