Position Summary:
LEE seeks to maximize its reach as it supports and inspires members to pursue civic engagement and eradicate the injustice educational inequity. The Director, Campaign Finance & Paralegal plays the critical role of managing government reporting for LEE and its related entities. The Director manages a portfolio of systems, databases, and vendors to ensure LEE and its related entities file on-time and accurate governmental registrations, reports, and renewals. The Director ensures that LEE and its related entities meet their compliance obligations related to all levels of government.
The Director’s portfolio will primarily consist of campaign finance database management and reporting on behalf of LEE and its related political action committees. The Director will research campaign finance regulations other compliance related questions. Additionally, the Director will manage all corporate registrations and reports, such as state business registrations, charitable solicitation registrations, and state contractor registrations. To ensure that all required information is collected and reported, the Director will develop and administer systems, databases, and resources, including staff trainings.
The Director will be responsible for managing the corporate insurance portfolio, its renewal process, certificate requests, and compliance with contract requirements.
The ideal Director candidate will demonstrate a passion for compliance to build and maintain an enduring institution, a successful track record of developing systems and managing information, strong working knowledge of campaign finance regulation, thrive in a collaborative virtual environment, and be a proven self-starter. The Director will report to the General Counsel and work closely with the Vice President, Elected Leadership.
