THE JOB:

We need a Campaign Manager to start IMMEDIATELY on a county-wide race in the Capital District of New York State.  The ideal candidate will have several cycles of experience and a demonstrated ability to lead energetic, highly-functional teams in campaigns against incumbents.  You will be helping fulfill the long-sought, finally-attainable electoral goal of sweeping out an incumbent in order to elect a young, smart and driven leader.  You will be making a tangible contribution to the causes of racial, social and economic justice.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Excellent organizational and communications abilities

- An ability to delegate responsibility, "trust but verify" and foster true empowerment of volunteers and staff

- A good sense of humor

- The ability to focus and not be distracted by a sometimes-hardball political culture

- An ability to involve and excite multiple, not-exclusively-overlapping stakeholders, and bring each to the table to help in a way that helps them feel empowered and invested

- A strong desire for progressive change

- The ability to hit the ground running and gracefully fold into the Petitioning process as it ramps up, then shepherd the campaign through a very hard-fought Primary

- The ability to effectively oversee staff, volunteer leaders and the candidate over a large number of departments, including Field, Finance, Mail, Messaging, Operations, and more

NOT REQUIRED:

- A college degree
