The Tennessee Victory 2018 campaign is seeking full-time Field Organizers for the 2018 general election cycle. Field Organizers are responsible for recruiting, training and managing regional volunteer teams, and leveraging it for direct voter contact. The chosen candidates will be directly responsible for meeting goals and delivering the margin of victory in their region and will directly report to their Regional Field Director.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identifying, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer teams;
- Recruiting, training and supervising regional intern and fellow teams;
- Ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly DVC goals are met and exceeded;
- Coordinating and participating in direct voter contact programs to motivate and mobilize voters in key regions;
- Detailed regular reporting of regional activities and program results;
- Representing the Tennessee Democratic Party and the campaign at community events and meetings when necessary;
- Maintain awareness of programmatic health in their area of responsibility and communicate that status to supervisors on a frequent basis;
- Other duties as assigned;
Our ideal candidate for the position has the following qualifications: - Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds;
- Must be able to work independently and in team settings;
- Must be able to work long and irregular hours as needed;
- Willingness to relocate in-state for the duration of the campaign, if necessary;
- Creative thinking and a “can-do” attitude for problem-solving;
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable access to a car, and a laptop;
- Previous campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred but not necessary;
