Overview
Democrats need 24 seats to take back the House, and there are 23 seats that Hillary Clinton won with a Republican incumbent. Only a handful of those districts are now an open seat. This is one of those seats.
We are seeking a Fundraising Assistant for a top tier race for U.S. Congress that is listed as a tossup race in the Pacific Northwest to join our team immediately. The scope of work includes assisting in all levels of fundraising, focusing in on call time with the candidate and staffing events. This is a fantastic opportunity for those wishing to gain experience on a political campaign.
Responsibilities
- · Manage daily call time with the candidate
- · Perform all necessary call time follow up
- · Manage call time data input and tracking
- · Make follow up calls on outstanding pledges
- · Print and organize thank you notes
- · Staff candidate occasionally as they travel the district
- · Other fundraising duties as needed
Qualifications
- · Requires proficient professional experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, and Google Drive
- · Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
- · Ability to maintain and manage highly confidential or sensitive information
- · Additional skills in graphic design valuable but not necessary
- · Good communications and organizational skills
- · Strong attention to detail
- · A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- · Ability to re-locate to the PNW
Experience: Experience in fundraising on a political campaign preferred. Non-fundraising, campaign experience welcome.
