The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (BoldProgressives.org) is a million member grassroots organization building power at the local, state and federal levels. It engages in electoral work and issue advocacy work -- fighting on democracy issues and for economic populist priorities like expanding Social Security, debt-free college, and Wall Street reform. Senator Elizabeth Warren said: "PCCC members were with me since the beginning -- even before there was a beginning! Now, we have lots of work to do together." The PCCC has raised over $27 million in grassroots donations for progressive candidates and committees. It has also trained hundreds of state and local candidates and elected dozens of bold progressives to Congress.

JOB DESCRIPTION - EMAIL CAMPAIGNER

The PCCC is looking for talented Email Campaigners to write fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and advocacy emails aimed at forwarding an economic populist agenda and electing bold progressives to offices up and down the ballot while fiercely resisting the Trump administration.

Email Campaigners at the PCCC conceive, compose, and deploy fundraising emails for the organization, other partner groups, and endorsed candidates, as well as rapid response email-based advocacy actions, and longer-term email organizing campaigns, while working closely with other PCCC teams including press, our Capitol Hill and electoral teams, and organizing colleagues to achieve ambitious results. 


Responsibilities include:

• Write impactful emails to PCCC members to further campaign aims and tell a long-term story about our values and advocacy.
  
• Monitor local and national news and identify rapid-response organizing and fundraising opportunities.
  
• Analyze the political landscape for strategic opportunities to advance PCCC's core agenda.
• Strategically use the full range of PCCC’s campaign apparatus to advance issues at the center of email campaigns -- including earned media, paid media, digital engagement, congressional relationships, and anything else you can come up with (including elevating real-people voices in advocacy).
• Optimize email effectiveness through rigorous A/B testing and consultation with the team.
• Own setting up and maintaining emails/pages in ActionKit and ActBlue and enhance our systems for doing so.
• Help conceive ideas for long-term email testing. Own implementation of tests.
  
• Help conceive ideas for membership growth. Own implementation of those pertaining to email.
• Liaison with design team for images related to emails.

Strong applicants will have:

• Progressive ideals and work history.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas of work: issue advocacy, fundraising, electoral campaigning.
• Strong writing ability, including ability to clearly and succinctly articulate a theory of change.
  
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a changing strategic landscape.
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
  
• Outside-the-box thinking (a prized attribute at the PCCC).
• Extremely detail oriented. Both in time management and in the details of tech back end and content.
• Experience in HTML.
• Experience managing up and sideways.

Preferred: 

• Hands-on experience running email or other digital campaigns.
• Previous experience with ActionKit and ActBlue programs.
• Experience working in a virtual workplace.

Salary and Hiring

This is a full-time salaried position, which includes health care and dental.

Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. Our team is virtual, with staff around the country.
