Motive AI is a venture-backed startup with offices in Brooklyn and Denver. We build and run online political communities, and building empathy through video storytelling is core to what we do.
We’re looking for a video editor with experience crafting engaging social videos to work on Colorado-based programs across our brands.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating video assets for various social media brands.
- Helping to innovate new styles and formats as we explore what is working to refine our approach.
- Creating content that includes text explainers and videos with on-camera personalities.
We'd love it if you happen to have*:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere. (required)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the Colorado political landscape.
- 1+ years experience making video for social platforms, primarily Facebook and Instagram, but past work with YouTube and Twitch is useful, too.
- Experience pulling footage from multiple sources and working with varying quality while respecting and understanding fair use limitations.
- A strong grasp of Adobe After Effects to create text animations and basic motion graphics.
- Capability to work on multiple short projects every single day, changing direction with the news, often with quick turnaround times.
- Ability to switch between distinct styles/tones for each of our brands.
- A penchant for constant tinkering to determine new ways of communicating through video.
- Understanding that viewership/engagement metrics will dictate success over purely artistic aesthetic.
