LA Community Organizer for Tech

We need a community organizer to join our team in LA. Ideal candidate is based in LA and/or has experience living and working in southern California. Our grassroots team is focused on building a stronger relationship between our community and the company in all ways imaginable. Our team is comprised of former democratic campaign staffers and we view our work as building democratic principles into the global tech economy.
Candidates for the Community Organizer role should be passionate about community building, experienced in executing data-driven field campaigns, and want to be part of a historic shift in the way people live and work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet face-to-face with Fiverr community members on a daily basis, wherever they are and whenever they’re available
- Recruit, train, and manage teams of dedicated volunteer team leaders
- Build and maintain relationships with community members, while serving as the face of the Fiverr brand in the field.
- Organize and execute events such as training, meetups and other community-related activities
- Collect and report organizing data on a daily basis
- Build a network of advocates in the broader community of businesses and allied organizations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to drive/have own vehicle (LA is a driver's city)
- Experience with electoral or issue-based field organizing
- Demonstrated success in a metrics driven job
- Strong commitment to tracking community engagement metrics and to ensuring that data is reported quickly and accurately
- Meticulous organization skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and to manage tasks simultaneously
- Experience working across professionally and culturally diverse communities
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel
- Passion for the gig economy
- Great sense of humor
Field Organizers and RFDs from the 2016 presidential election will be given strong preference.
