Position:         Accounting Clerk

 

Duties:            Under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, the Accounting Clerk will handle several different aspects of the Accounting department’s day-to-day functions. The Accounting Clerk will need to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and ability to operate under various pressures. The Accounting Clerk’s duties will include responding to inquiries from staff, mail processing, cutting checks and working with all of the automated accounting systems.

 

Experience:    The Accounting Clerk position will require at least two years previous experience in an automated accounting environment.

 

Skills:                         When fully trained and acclimated in the position, an Accounting Clerk should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and skills:

 

1.     Understand how to process the daily incoming mail of the accounting department.

 

2.     The ability to process Accounts Payable in FileMaker for both job specific invoices and G&A expenses.

 

3.     Create new jobs in FileMaker

 

4.     Process Accounts Receivable transactions in FileMaker

 

5.     Process client billings

 

6.     Be a good team player who works well with other staff

 

7.     Have the ability to work independently

 

8.     Takes initiative, maintains high standards and makes suggestions to improve our work and our company.

 

9.     Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced environment

 

10.  Handle other duties as assigned
