New Virginia Majority (NVM) is hiring paid Canvassers/Organizers for its Get Out The Vote campaign in Northern Virginia. This is a unique opportunity to work on a data and research driven voter education campaign transitioning to support of get-out-the-vote efforts in the fall.

New Virginia Majority is Virginia’s leading civic engagement organization that mobilizes and organizes people of all colors and backgrounds across the state. Our year-round approach to organizing involves mass scale voter outreach, linked to ongoing community organizing campaigns, intensive leadership development, and advocacy.  NVM is currently expanding its team. We are seeking conscious and skilled individuals with a deep commitment to social change.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Engaging in door-to-door voter communication
• Assisting Field Director in meeting program goals
• Ensuring accurate and complete data is submitted

Required Skills:

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Self motivated and able to work independently
