Health Care Organizer

Brass Tactics is seeking candidates for a unique opportunity to organize volunteers and work closely in a professional medical setting. This position can be a good fit for individuals who have a passion for healthcare and organizing and seek the challenge of building and shaping a program.

The Organizer will play a lead role on a not-for-profit hospital community outreach and awareness program. The mission is to build, organize and mobilize a sustainable volunteer network. In this lead role, the Organizer has the ability to build on top of the foundation of a new program, shaping how the hospital can generate activity in the surrounding community and existing networks within the facility that drives more people to engage with the hospital’s main campus.

As Brass Tactics’ on-site point of contact with the client, the Organizer will work with the hospital’s marketing team to research, plan and execute a volunteer-based engagement initiative. The Organizer will identify and engage volunteers to develop them into leaders and teams who can expand the volunteer network and raise community awareness. The hospital is a leading provider of child delivery services and thus, a large majority of the volunteer network are women. This is an opportunity for an organizer interested in healthcare and women’s issues to work in an area of convergence.

The Organizer position is based within the marketing department on the hospital’s main campus in Towson, MD. Candidates for this position should expect to work in a professional setting with medical and marketing professionals as well as at public events. Compared to many organizing projects, this role has a lengthy term, running from now until December 2016.
