POSITION: Outreach Coordinator, American Bridge 21^st Century

LOCATION: Michigan

 

American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring an Outreach Coordinator in Michigan.

 

Duties include:

 

· Implementing mobilization and communication program of local voices. This includes but is not limited to, attending local events, building a network of contacts within local organizations, performing outreach to allies and within the voter file.

· Working with appropriate regional, state and local leaders of allied groups to identify potential subjects in the region.

· Preparing and submit regular and ad hoc reports on activities as required.

· Performing other duties as assigned.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

· 3-5 years of experience in organizing or related political or campaign employment.

· Working knowledge of local and national politics and current events.

· Experience with recording equipment (cameras, tripods, iPhone/iPads) (a must).

· Ability to work independently within the context of a plan.

· Ability to thrive within charged political environments.

· Excellent listening, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Effective time management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, and demonstrated experience in developing campaign and personal work plans and goals.

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in politically sensitive and high-pressure environments.

· Experience with VAN and/or other voter file database software.

· Computer proficiency is required; database/spreadsheet, email, internet, word processing, social networking skills.

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Ability to travel on a regular basis as needed, and for extended periods of time.

· Ability to work long hours and weekends as required.

· Prior campaign experience preferred.
