CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR - Maryland House of Delegates

Dynamic, energetic state house candidate is seeking a committed self-starter to serve as his campaign manager starting in early February through Election Day on November 6, 2018.

Brian Murphy is currently seeking his first term in the Maryland House of Delegates District 40 after leaving a 20yr career in gov contracting .   

Responsibilities will vary and include:

• Overall responsibility for all campaign-related activities
• Develop and manage campaign budget
• Develop and manage campaign calendar, including key milestones
• Respond to media inquiries and generate earned media
• Assist with campaign’s social media strategy
• Assist with development of print materials and update website
• Coordinate closely with the state and local party and key stakeholders, especially within the district, to achieve common goal
• Manage volunteer efforts in coordination with other campaign staff
• Plan and lead campaign meetings

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Intense commitment to achieving the goal
• Self-starter able to operate independently and see tasks through to completion
• Strong responsiveness to key players such as volunteers
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment
• Some prior experience working in political campaigns
• Basic knowledge of applicable campaign finance and election laws
• Existing relationships with district and party stakeholders would be a bonus
