About this Job:

The Yang2020 campaign is seeking a strong, dynamic Press Secretary to expand our media presence and continue our narrative of growth.

The desired candidate will work with the Communications Director to define overall, event-based, and daily messaging. They will be expected to maintain relationships with national press outlets, conduct outbound press messaging, and drive the media narrative by regularly engaging with individuals across platforms. They will be responsible for ensuring all press teams across the country are driving messaging that resonates locally but reflects our overall narrative, and will build out a press team that can respond to requests, schedule candidate time, proactively drive a media narrative, and staff the Candidate during press hits and on the road.

Desired Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of campaign press experience 
• Passion for promoting prosperity in America as well as raising awareness for issues aligned with the Yang2020 campaign
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and external organizations
• The ability to multi-task w/o sacrificing quality of work
• The ability to facilitate team-building as well as cohesive, transparent environment
• On the record experience required
