Greenpeace USA is hiring a Senior Climate Campaigner to join our team. This highly experienced campaigner will report to the Climate Campaign Director and play a vital role in shaping and implementing Greenpeace’s work to combat climate change and promote justice and human rights.
We are looking for someone to help Greenpeace build and carry out bold campaigns centered on people power to hold climate criminals accountable and create real solutions commensurate to the urgency of this planetary crisis. The right candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering high impact, member-centered campaigns and exceptional project management skills. Experience running successful corporate campaigns, particularly targeting technology or financial corporations, is a plus.
A successful Senior Climate Campaigner will be adept at responding to real world events and opportunities that affect their objectives, while not losing track of long-term strategy. They develop projects with an eye toward public engagement at all levels (online, offline, fundraising, etc.) looking to empower people and reach diverse audiences. They are strategic advisors to the Climate Campaign Director and organization-wide Campaigns Director.
This position is located in either Washington, DC or Oakland, CA (preferably OAK) and will report to the Climate Campaign Director.
