Campaign Manager for a City Council race in New York City

A New York City Council candidate is hiring a campaign manager for the June Primary.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

• Keeping the candidates schedule and coordinating meeting and event requests.

• Working with the consultant team to keep the campaign on message and execute the paid media plan.

• Managing intake of press requests and occasionally acting as the campaign spokesperson

• Managing the campaign’s budget with a close eye to detail to make sure the campaign doesn’t spend past the spending cap.

• Managing the campaign’s intern and volunteer team.

• Creating and executing a creative volunteer field plan.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Minimum 2 cycles of campaign experience.

• 1 cycle of experience managing a campaign budget.

• A strong background managing a field operation.

• Strongly preferred: past experience with ranked-choice voting

• The ideal candidate has knowledge of the New York City political landscape.

• Willing to work long campaign hours.

• Energetic, self-starter able to keep up in a fast-paced campaign environment.
