Senate Majority PAC (SMP) seeks an associate digital graphic designer to help lead its effort to win back the Democratic Senate majority in the 2018 elections. Experienced Democratic strategists founded SMP with one mission: elect Democrats to the U.S. Senate.

Position

We are looking for a talented associate digital designer for a new and exciting opportunity: to help win back the Senate. This position will be centered around informing, persuading, and mobilizing voters through integrated digital strategies.

This person will play a leading role in content creation, including messaging and digital–first design development as part of the overall strategy.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, update, connect, and share digital video, graphics, and microsites while enforcing overall narrative and style efforts

• Support the management of content and creative production whether in- house or externally

• Help develop visual presentations and graphics for internal and external stakeholders

• Be a part of the overall digital and campaign strategy to provide original ideas, concepts, and constructive feedback to the table

• Monitor changing digital content and design trends in order to keep creative process on the cutting edge

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in digital-first design, and the ability to consistently produce beautiful, thoughtful, and innovative web, video, and social graphics

• A solid understanding of creative best practices and content nuances by platform (ex: display, video, social, paid search, in app, etc), in order to help drive strategy and measure success

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS -- any coding knowledge is a benefit

• Creativity, a critical eye for details, and strong organizational skills are a must

• A strong desire to help Democrats take back the U.S. Senate and a passion for politics

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and 1-3+ years of experience in at least one of the following: video, web, graphic design, and/or digital platforms
