Position Overview
Working Families Party is building a multiracial, feminist, working people’s political party, harnessing power to enact structural change within our local, state, and national government. Together, we can change our politics to be rooted in justice, compassion, and solidarity and transform our government into one that makes our state a thriving and equitable place.
Rhode Island WFP seeks dynamic, energetic Summer Organizing Interns who share our commitment to racial, economic, and social justice. Summer Organizing Interns will be paired with promising local progressive candidates, and receive support and training from RIWFP staff to take leadership roles within those campaigns. Interns will have the chance to participate in every part of running and winning a critical local election, including voter contact, volunteer mobilization, research, fundraising, and digital communications. Interns will also be supported as they reflect on their experiences across campaigns, with each other, and with RIWFP staff.

Essential Functions
Electoral Campaign Organizing
Approximately 75% of time/effort
Every electoral campaign is different. Interns can anticipate taking on any of the following roles:
