Research Associate - NC Statewide

A Democratic statewide campaign in North Carolina is looking for a research associate. The associate would report directly to the research director and work closely with the RD on major projects. This position on a high-profile race is a great growth opportunity for an aspiring research or communications staffer. The position is based in Raleigh, N.C. with the possibility of occasional travel.

 

The ideal candidate has real research experience, is comfortable with databases (like Lexis Nexis) and media monitoring software, and absolutely needs to figure out the answer when someone asks them a question. A passion for Democratic politics is a must. Other desired qualities include: organizational skills, an ability to operate at a high-level in stressful environments, and a willingness to have fun at work. Candidates lacking one or two of these qualities are encouraged to apply anyway, because nobody’s perfect.
