Field Director on top targeted House of Delegate race

The Shelly Simonds for Delegate team is looking to bring on an experienced, driven Field Director to help flip a highly competitive district. Shelly made national news in 2017 when her opponent won by a random drawing after the courts declared a tie. This is a top-targeted race that we anticipate will come down to a close field margin once again.

Qualifications:

• Mastery of VAN/Votebuilder, familiarity with Mobilize and Voter Circle is preferred

• At least two cycles of experience working in community organizing

• Experience with setting and meeting data-driven benchmarks

• Creative and relentless approach to grassroots organizing with ability to build robust volunteer teams

Responsibilities:

• Build and execute a targeted field plan

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all targets are met

• Recruit and train local interns and fellows

• Represent the candidate/campaign at various community meetings

Applicants should be from the Hampton Roads area or be willing to relocate to Newport News immediately upon hiring. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required and applicants should be prepared to drive the candidate or surrogates as needed.
