Seeking Fundraising Associates for IL State Legislature Race (remote work available)

We are looking for a couple of Finance/Fundraising associates to work on startup fundraising for a 3 way state legislator race. Candidate is a left-libertarian, and is running on a platform centered on racial justice, and criminal justice reform. The primary focus of the role will be identifying and contacting potential donors to raise initial funding.

The district comprises 1 university, and at least 1 community college, plus a large rural area, multiple small towns, and one larger (around 40K population) city. In the last election the seat was one by less than 1500 votes. With good funding, and a good field program following, this can be an incredibly competitive race.

The role,

Research and identify potential donors

Make initial contact, informing them of the candidacy

Convert that contact into donations

Input and track all donors

There is no compliance work or accounting required, campaign treasurer will handle all of that.

Desired skills and qualifications

first and foremost a people person

dedication to electing 3rd party candidates, and a desire to end the 2 party system

self starters 

previous fundraising/finance experience a plus

Positions will be paid on a negotiated commission, if you believe you can be successful in the role, and raise a large amount, then the skies the limit on compensation!
