Paid Internship at KG Consulting
Led by experienced development professional Kathryn Greenberg, KG Consulting is a full-service development consulting firm dedicated to providing strategic fundraising guidance to progressive institutions. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to be a part of a growing and dynamic team, learn all facets of fundraising, and to interact with many high impact non-profit and advocacy organizations. The firm’s primary focus areas include development strategy, coaching, prospecting, project management/events, and marketing for successful fundraising.
Primary Purpose
The internship will acquaint the intern with the core principles of non-profit and political fundraising and prepare them for a potential career in those fields. Interns assist the KG Consulting team by conducting research, maintaining office systems, and assisting in planning of events and meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Update current and prospective donor profiles for clients and in firm database
· Assist in drafting meeting notes, scheduling calls, and briefing documents
· Provide general staff and office support as requested or necessary
· Occasional off-site event support

· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently but collaboratively
· Ability to manage multiple projects successfully and work well on multiple deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent customer-service skills, detail-oriented and dependable
· Proactive attitude and a thirst for learning
· Grace under pressure
· Experience with Database Management, MS Office Suite, and Wealth Research tools such as iWave, WealthEngine or Donor Search is a plus
Located in: Washington, D.C.
Applicant Availability: 20 hours a week (daily hours contingent upon
applicant’s schedule)
Compensation: This is a paid position. The start date is February, 2020.
