Congressman Delaney’s reelection campaign seeks qualified applicants for the position of Field Director (FD). The FD will be responsible for supervising field organizers (FOs) as well as implementing and executing the field plan for their geographic region of the district. The FD must be able to work and communicate with diverse communities. A passion for electing Democrats is required as is the ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the FD will be to grow local field teams who will conduct voter contact in line with the campaign field plan. The FD will supervise staff, recruit volunteers, and host outreach events.
Requirements
At least 1 cycle of field organizing experience
At least 1 cycle managing staff
Experience working with VAN including tracking performance, cutting turf, creating lists and entering data
Ability to implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan
Experience working with and managing interns and volunteers
Ability to multi-task, achieve goals, meet deadlines and creatively solve problems
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail
A good sense of humor and strong interest in and commitment to electing progressive Democratic candidates
Well-qualified applicants will have at least one cycle of solid field organizing experience on a competitive campaign, as well as experience successfully supervising staff. This position will require frequent travel throughout the district. Irregularity of hours is to be expected, including evenings and weekends. Applicants must provide their own laptop and have access to a car.
Salary will be determined based on prior experience. This is not an entry-level position.
