CAMPAIGN MANAGER (CM)


Democratic City Council Campaigns in Brooklyn and Queens


Overview of Responsibilities:


- Manage all elements of the campaign including, but not limited to, field operations, volunteer recruitment, media relations, candidate events, and overall campaign strategy


- Work one-on-one with the candidate to ensure fundraising and voter contact goals are met


- Work directly with the field director to ensure campaign has sufficient volunteers and other resources to engage voters, particularly meeting candidate support ID goals


- Interface with community leaders, elected officials, and other campaign stakeholders


- Hiring and coaching campaign staff



Skills + Experience Required:


- Strong work ethic

- Comfort with demands and expectations of the role. CM can expect work long hours and/or 6-7 days a week

- Ability to manage staff and provide leadership to all elements of the campaign

- Ongoing commitment to victory

- Professional loyalty to the campaign and candidate


-Prior campaign experience, preferably in a leadership capacity, is a must

-Familiarity with NGP VAN and basic computer tools (Word, Google Drive, etc.)

-Experience with and understanding of the dynamics of NYC politics


Compensation:


This is a subcontractor, salaried position. Specific salary is commensurate with experience but ranges $3,000-4,000 monthly
