Colorado State House Race seeking Field Organizers (Denver Suburbs)

Do you want to make a difference and help elect an up-and-coming Democrat to the Colorado state house? A highly competitive state house campaign is seeking hard-working and passionate Field Organizers for the 2016 cycle. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting and building a relationship with volunteers, and coordinating the hitting of voter contact goals. Field organizers will get to interact closely with the campaign manager and candidate to help build a grassroots community of volunteers and supporters. The successful candidates for the position will be organized, enthusiastic, and have the ability to work independently.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Developing volunteer leaders to help carry out phone banks, canvasses, and other events designed to contact voters and engage volunteers
•  Meeting voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals
• Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and volunteers
• Performing other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds;
• Must be able to work independently and in team settings;
• Must be able to work long and irregular hours as needed;
• Basic computer literacy and database skills;
• Must have a driver's license and access to a car;
• Previous campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred but not necessary
