Field Organizer Positions - Montana Democratic Party

The Montana Democratic Party is hiring Field Organizers for the 2016 election. The coordinated campaign field organizers will be responsible for implementing the field plan and managing the GOTV operation within an assigned region in order to re-elect Democratic Governor Steve Bullock, elect congressional candidate Denise Juneau and elect the rest of the Democratic ticket. Field Organizers will report directly to Regional Field Directors and be based throughout the state of Montana. 

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

- Great interpersonal skills -- ability to listen well and communicate effectively 

- Strong time management and organizational skills 

- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends

- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

- Experience volunteering or working for campaigns is a plus, but it is not required

- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

- Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals, and electing Democratic candidates in Montana

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Implementing all aspects of the field program in assigned turf 

- Recruiting, training and managing volunteers and interns

- Coordinating and participating in direct voter contact programs to persuade and mobilize voters

- Building and managing volunteer canvasses and phone banks 

- Meeting weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals 

- Representing the Montana Democratic Party and candidates in your assigned region
