Who We’re Looking For
Do you want to protect our life-saving antibiotics? The overuse of antibiotics on factory farms has the potential to be a serious health crisis. Medical experts are warning that if we don’t stop the overuse of antibiotics, they could stop working. But large farming operations and the drug industry have resisted change. That is why U.S. PIRG is organizing the public to push for change. We're working to convince big restaurants to pressure these farms to change their practices.
If you want to help us save our antibiotics — and if you’re excited about tapping into the power of the internet to win smart solutions on real problems that affect millions of lives — consider a job as a digital campaigner with U.S. PIRG. We’re looking for people with sharp writing skills, savvy strategic ability, creativity, and a talent for using social media.
What You’ll Do
Our digital campaigners help us design and win campaigns on some of the most important issues affecting the public today. This position is an exciting way to organize and motivate people online. Our online campaigns reach hundreds of thousands of people and spread the word about making change. This is a position for professionals who are ready to turn online skills into political action.
Compensation
The target annual compensation for this position is $26,000. U.S. PIRG offers a competitive benefits package. We also offer an excellent training program and opportunities for advancement.
