COMMUNICATIONS AND DIGITAL ASSISTANT
End Citizens United’s Mission: To fix our democracy by getting big money out of politics and protecting the right to vote. We will work to end our rigged political system by electing reform champions, passing meaningful legislative reforms, and elevating these issues in the national conversation. We will work in partnership with these champions to overturn Citizens United, end the unlimited and undisclosed money in politics, and protect and expand the right to vote.
Reports to: Communications Director
Position Type: Full-Time Exempt
End Citizens United is seeking a Communications and Digital Assistant for a fast-paced Communications shop. This is a cycle position with an end date of November 15, 2020.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drafting, editing, and sending press releases, op-eds, emails, social media and other written materials
Maintaining press lists
Monitoring clips
Compiling and reporting metrics and statistics of online campaigns
Assisting the Communications and Digital Department with administrative and other communications related duties
Qualifications:
A strong interest in stopping Big Money in politics, electing campaign finance reform champions, and protecting the right to vote
One cycle or less of campaign, political, or Capitol Hill experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
The ability to multi-task and execute tasks under tight and competing deadlines
Outstanding attention to detail
Being a team player and collaborator
