Field Director

 

2018 is shaping up to be a great opportunity to gain seats for the Democratic Party in the Iowa Senate. The Senate Majority Fund, one of the top programs in the country for running and winning state legislative campaigns, is looking to expand our staff for the 2018 elections.

 

Iowa Senate is an opportunity to lead a top tier legislative statewide field program and work with a winning team. The Iowa Senate Majority Fund is accepting applications for the position of Field Director for the Iowa Senate Majority Fund. The job description for a Field Director includes but is not limited to the following functions:

 

General management:

• Oversee Senate campaign field efforts

• Day-to-day management of managers

• Regular staff and campaign assessments & reporting

• Candidate & manager trainings

• VAN/Voter File management

• Support & plan GOTV efforts of campaigns

• Work with Coordinated Campaign Field Director and other campaigns both above and below our ballot position

• Offer support for consultant efforts

• Resource for Central Staff, Candidates & Members Application

 

Requirements:

• Strong verbal, organizational, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to meet strict deadlines

• Self-motivated

• Computer skills required

• Access to reliable transportation

• Willingness to work long hours when necessary

• Previous campaign management experience highly preferred

• Solid multi-cycle campaign experience required including at least one cycle of field management
