Maryland Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign is looking for Field Organizers to help us turn out the vote up and down the ballot. Field Organizers are responsible for outreach to local stakeholders, recruiting, training and managing regional volunteer teams, coordinating phone banks and canvasses, and organizing local grassroots trainings. The chosen candidates will be directly responsible for building a grassroots organization, meeting volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals to deliver the margin of victory in their region
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and coordinate with local stakeholders; I
- dentify, recruit, train, and supervise volunteer & intern teams;
- Coordinate and participate in direct voter contact programs to motivate and mobilize voters in key regions;
- Detailed tracking of regional activities and program results;
- Represent the Maryland Democratic Party and the campaign at community events and meetings;
Our ideal candidate for the position has the following qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to activists, elected leaders, volunteers, and voters from a wide range of backgrounds;
- Must be able to work independently and in team settings;
- Must be able to work long and irregular hours as needed;
- Creative thinking and a “can-do” attitude for problem solving;
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable access to a car, and a laptop;
- Previous campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred but not necessary;
$3K per month, cell and mileage stipend, supporter housing available. Send resume
