Upstate NY Congressional Field Director

A top tier congressional reelection campaign in Upstate New York seeks qualified applicants for the position of Field Director (FD).  The FD will be responsible for supervising field organizers (FOs) as well as implementing and executing the field plan for their geographic region of the district.  The FD must be able to work and communicate with diverse communities.  A passion for electing Democrats is required as is the ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends 

Job Responsibilities

• Create and implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan
• Recruit, train and manage a paid and volunteer field team to execute the field plan
• Manage a voter database, including selecting targets and tracking IDs and volunteers
• Manage a metrics-driven field operation and report progress to goals in a timely manner
• Manage the field program’s budget and logistics in collaboration with Campaign Manager
• Manage multiple minority outreach programs.

Qualifications

• Have a minimum of two cycles of field experience, including one cycle of staff management
• Experience with and ability to train VAN.
• Ability to design, maintain and improve a goal-oriented accountability structure
• Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced campaign environment
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Must have a working computer
• Must be able to pass a background check
