James Talarico’s Campaign Seeks Deputy Campaign Manager
Democratic nominee James Talarico is running for the Texas Legislature in House District 52, a closely-watched swing district in the suburbs of Austin, TX. The Talarico Campaign is seeking a talented leader to flip this seat and turn Texas blue.
James is a Round Rock native, former teacher, and education nonprofit leader who would become the youngest member of the Texas State House. Learn more here.
The Deputy Campaign Manager will:
Assist Campaign Manager in strategy development and execution
Work directly with campaign manager, consultants, and candidate to develop, refine, and adjust campaign’s strategic direction
Oversee and mentor staff to ensure efficient execution of strategy
Develop and manage political and labor relationships
Prospect, develop, and maintain new political relationships with party leaders, elected officials, labor contacts , and grassroots organizations
Interface with existing local, state, and national partners
Manage a robust direct voter contact program
Create and refine DVC universes for each phase of the campaign that match topline campaign goals
Ensure the campaign is meeting DVC phase goals
Define programmatic goals for volunteer and team leader recruitment
Oversee execution of volunteer recruitment and track progress to goal
Ideal applicants will have:
1-2 cycles of campaign experience preferred
a commitment to Democratic principles and ideals
a head for numbers and a heart for people
meticulous attention to detail
