This is an entry to mid-level campaign position, although experience is welcome it is not required as training will be provided to the right candidate. Transportation is required and only candidates already in Hawaii will be considered.
You must be willing to work campaign hours, which can be both long and irregular. You must be computer savvy including excel and internet research. A lot of time will be spent in our campaign database, which we will train you to be proficient using. You must be comfortable on the phone and with staffing the candidate at various meetings and events. You must be proficient in social media and written communications.
General Responsibilities will include:
Þ Staff all campaign related meetings and events, including Neighbor Island travel as necessary;
o Collecting names at events and managing requested following up.
Þ Scheduling:
o Work with scheduler and finance consultant to keep call time on schedule.
o Coordinate with scheduler to put campaign meetings and events on calendar and serve as point of contact for campaign to those requesting campaign meetings and events.
o Provide memos to candidate in advance of meetings and events.
o Reporting back to campaign stakeholders on meetings and follow up.
Taking photos at campaign events when staffing candidate.
Collecting and sending news clips to campaign team each day.
Email and Social Media Responsibilities include:
Þ Managing the campaign’s general email inbox and inquiries.
Þ Updating campaign social media daily including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
o Boosting posts and simple ad placement as directed by consultant.
o Increasing social media following.
Þ Manage process of sending campaign emails out of NGP to donor list.
Fundraising responsibilities include:
Þ Under the direction of the fundraising director or consultant, develop and manage call time prospects, provide call sheets and staff call time as requested. Call time management includes;
o Donor Research;
o Call time data entry; entering all candidate notes from call time;
o Donor follow up with email or letter;
o Call time tracking; maintaining spreadsheet of daily results;
o Dialing the phone for the candidate;
o Reporting call time results daily and weekly;
Þ Database and list management;
Þ Help with donor thank you letters process and managing volunteers in this process
Þ Data entry for compliance;
o Enter all checks into NGP and ensure all donations are properly source coded;
o Manage any volunteer compliance data entry;
o Upload any act blue contributions into NGP;
Þ Call and email outstanding pledges to collect contributions, this is done on a weekly basis;
