The Amy Klobuchar for President campaign is seeking full-time Constituency Organizers for the 2020 Presidential Primary election. Organizers are responsible for developing, maintaining, and utilizing strategic relationships and constituency-based teams throughout the state. The chosen candidates will be directly responsible for meeting goals, delivering the margin of victory in their area, and will directly report to Iowa Engagement Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identifying, recruiting, training, and supervising constituency volunteer teams; Coordinating and participating in local constituency events to build political power, and engage key constituency groups throughout the state; Detailed regular reporting of constituency activities and program results; Representing the campaign at various political and community events and meetings; Identifying surrogates and staffing principles at the events around the state; Maintain awareness of programmatic health in their area of responsibility and communicate that status to supervisor on a frequent basis; Other duties as assigned; Our ideal candidate for the position has the following qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds; Must be able to work independently and in team settings; Must be able to work long and irregular hours as needed; Willingness to relocate in-state for the duration of the campaign, if necessary; Creative thinking and a “can-do” attitude for problem-solving; Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable access to a car, smartphone, and a laptop; Previous campaign experience or community organizing experience preferred but not necessary; Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus; Ties to Iowa politics is ideal but not required; To apply, click here or visit amyklobuchar.com/jobs.  Amy for America is committed to diversity among its staff, and recognizes that its continued success requires the highest commitment to obtaining and retaining a diverse staff that provides the best quality services to supporters and constituents.
