YOU ARE AMAZING! But now many are out of work….a sad reality of the sector we work in. But that is what we have been planning for. GAIN Power is doing a series of events and releasing resources to help talent find their next job - and we’re calling it Powering Blue: Talent in Transition. We’re sharing presentations on resume writing, networking, branding and more. We are hosting webinars where we bring in experts who are going to go deeper than 101 information you can find on the internet. What are hiring managers in the progressive movement actually looking for? What makes networking critical to charting your career in progressive politics? How have these experts made a living and created a path to success? Below are a few upcoming events to sign up for now. WEBINAR: Resume Writing and Marketing Yourself Thurs 11/17 @ 2pm ET GAIN Power will be joined by Britt Cocanour, Chuck Rocha, and Lena Tom to provide tips and advice about writing a resume and how to market yourself to get the job you want in progressive politics. WEBINAR: Networking Skills Tues 11/29 @ 4pm ET GAIN Power will be joined by Teresa Vilmain and Georgie Aguirre-Sacasa to discuss the importance of networking - both amongst your own network and branching out to meet new people who can help move your career forward.
