Job Opening: Finance Director for a Democratic Member of Congress in the Midwest Region

A top tier, Frontline Democratic member seeks an experienced and motivated Finance Director for 2016 election cycle.  This position is full-time.

 

Finance Director will be responsible for all aspects of the fundraising program, including the development, implementation, and management of the campaign finance plan.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

Plan and fully execute fundraising events

 

Prepare for and staff Member call time and follow-up with donors

 

Manage donor maintenance program with existing donors

 

Conduct research and identify opportunities to expand donor network

 

Solicit contributions from donors and potential donors on Member’s behalf

 

Maintain database used for fundraising operation and FEC compliance

 

Lead weekly finance conference call with campaign team

 

Qualifications:

 

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one cycle of Finance Director/Deputy Finance Director/Finance Assistant experience on a federal campaign.  Preferably on a Frontline or Red-to-Blue campaign.  

 

Must be a highly organized, detailed oriented, self-motivated individual. 

 

Must have ability to work well and confidently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with frequent deadlines. 

 

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and NGP is required.
