Position: Finance Director for a Democratic Congressional Campaign
Summary: A congressional campaign in a targeted district is seeking an experienced Finance Director to manage and oversee the campaign’s strategic fundraising effort in the district and nationally for a Democratic Primary and through the General election.
Duties: The Finance Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager, candidate, and a national consulting team with a strong potential fundraising network to develop relationships, manage call time, run fundraising events, and research donors for the Primary and General election in 2018.
Desired Skills/Experience:
∙ Minimum of one cycle of paid finance work experience on a political campaign, for a state party, national committee, or civic
non-profit organization.
Working with the Campaign Manager to craft and implement fundraising plan to reach seven-figure goal.
∙ Conduct research on prospective donors and maintain and supervise maintenance of donor records in campaign finance
software.
∙ Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including attention to detail to solicit contributions in person,
writing and on the phone.
∙ Ability to work campaign hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
∙ Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
∙ Travel throughout the District and out of town as needed to successfully achieve fundraising goals.
∙ Help the Campaign Manager manage candidate’s schedule, fundraising events and call time.
∙ Prep, staff and complete follow-up procedures for the candidates call time including, but not limited to, donor vetting, thank
you notes, etc.
∙ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and campaign finance software
∙ Experience in all aspects of campaign finance operations and a comprehensive understand of FEC compliance regulations
∙ Nevada ties and experience a plus.
