Dr. Merav Ben-David is a climate scientist running for the U.S. Senate in Wyoming. Merav will be the first scientist in the senate since 1982, as well as the first woman scientist and the first climate scientist ever elected to the senate. Her research was instrumental to help hold Exxon and BP accountable after their respective oil spills in 1989 and 2010. She’s running on a smart, cohesive, progressive platform, and she needs your help!
We’re looking for paid organizing interns who know the importance of talking to voters and are passionate about making the world a better place! If you’re the kind of person who loves a challenge and wants to learn more about grassroots organizing, this is the internship for you! Our team ranges from seasoned campaign professionals to wildlife biologists, so there’s plenty of educational opportunities to anyone who joins our crew.
Responsibilities
Recruiting volunteers to help make calls, send texts, knock doors, etc
Developing and maintaining relationships with organizations and individuals
Activating community members around electoral, economic, environmental, public health and other progressive issues
Talking to voters to get them to vote for Dr. Ben-David
Utilizing social media and other digital communication for issue advocacy
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Passion for public policy and politics
Willingness to learn quickly and work hard
Energetic and positive attitude
Knowledge of G-Suite products
This is a paid internship with a stipend of $300 a week, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, course credit is available. Preference given to WY residents but all are welcome to apply.
