Organizing Position on a U.S. Senate Race
Dr. Merav Ben-David is a climate scientist running for the U.S. Senate in Wyoming. Merav will be the first scientist in the senate since 1982, as well as the first woman scientist and the first climate scientist ever elected to the senate. Her research was instrumental to help hold Exxon and BP accountable after their respective oil spills in 1989 and 2010. She’s running on a smart, cohesive, progressive platform, and she needs your help!
We’re looking for passionate, talented and hard-working organizers. The MBD campaign is going to play a critical role in creating and building democratic support and infrastructure in Wyoming for years to come. In order to make significant change, we’re going to need incredible people.
Responsibilities
Manage and carry out voter contact tactics like phonebanks, textbanks and for those located in-state--visibility events. As a note, these tactics will vary based on the according needs of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Recruiting, training and managing volunteers to expand MBD support network.
Meeting daily and weekly volunteer recruitment and voter contact goals.
Use social media, email, and other digital tools to expand voter outreach and amplify messaging.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local partner organizations and elected officials.
Other various duties as requested.
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to learn quickly and work hard
Energetic and positive attitude
Knowledge of G-Suite products
This is a paid position for $4000 a month. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Preference given to WY residents but all are welcome to apply.
