Who We Are Hiring
We are looking for an experienced operations associate, with expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable and experience working with confidential information. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for: managing vendors; conducting AP/AR functions; managing components of Human Resources - recruitment, benefits administration, onboarding, and staff travel, ensuring effective and efficient procedures are in place; and recommending improvements to our suite of operational tools.
Specific Responsibilities:
Finance:
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Reviewing and coding invoices to ensure payables are in accordance with contracts;
Processing payments;
Overseeing the company Bookkeeper
Human Resources:
Recruitment: post and track job advertisements, screen applications, and manage the recruitment inbox.
Benefits Administration
Develop and manage a new employee onboarding program
Staff Retreat: Lead on the logistics for the annual staff retreat
Online Donor Management:
Work with community management lead to respond to online donor inquiries and technical issues.
General Administration:
Ensure we are in compliance with all NY State and Federal regulations
Light scheduling and organizing staff meetings/events
Qualifications:
2-3 years of office experience, specific experience with finance, accounting, human resources, or a related area highly desirable.
Extremely detailed oriented, able to manage multiple work streams and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
Experience working with confidential information.
Confident, self-directed, and collaborative
Desire to thrive in a creative, inventive, fast-paced start-up environment, with people who are passionate about their work and mission
Fluency in English, with a second language highly desirable. Specifically skills in Portuguese, Spanish and French highly preferred.
