Bernie 2016 seeks a Digital Organizing Director to take on the enormous opportunity of helping to build a progressive grassroots movement of supporters of Bernie Sanders’ campaign for president.
Your job will be to harness the incredible amount of grassroots momentum around Bernie’s candidacy and turn it into a movement to support our campaign and fight for Bernie Sanders’ progressive agenda for America.
Bernie Sanders wants to build a political revolution, and the way to do this is by empowering supporters no matter where they are. We have tens of thousands of people already wanting to know how they can help, and this position will build the infrastructure to not just put them to work, but to help them own a part of our campaign.
Distributed organizing is the core of this job. You’ll develop and implement strategies to help supporters plan and execute house parties, community organizing events, volunteer activities, and aiding field organizing in early states. This critical position builds the bridge between our digital and field departments by working to empower our supporters to bring Bernie’s campaign to their communities.
The ideal person for this position is something with experience in executing distributed organizing strategies and who has a passion for empowerment and fighting for what’s right.
