Hilltop Public Solutions is seeking a qualified applicant to serve as an Associate in our Denver, Colorado office, working with Partners on both public affairs and political campaigns. 

 

About Hilltop:

 

Hilltop Public Solutions is a Democratic political consulting and public affairs firm. We are based in Denver but have offices around the country. Our team here in Denver works on state, federal, and local issues: from mayoral, ballot measure, congressional and statewide elections, to national issue advocacy campaigns, to grasstops and grassroots projects.

 

We take an all-hands-on-deck approach to campaigns, and our partners, principals and associates have the opportunity to work on a wide range of issues impacting the country. In Colorado, Hilltop staff members have managed winning Presidential and Senate races, numerous ballot measures, as well as successful independent expenditure campaigns and local races. In just this past cycle, we served as lead strategists for Congressman Joe Neguse, Attorney General Phil Weiser, State Treasurer Dave Young, and Secretary of State Jena Griswold as well as helping lead the campaign to defeat Amendment 74. 

 

Responsibilities

• Help other Hilltop staff in managing and directing political campaigns.
• Work with Hilltop partners to manage and coordinate grassroots and grasstops issue advocacy campaigns.
• Direct non-profit and issue-based campaigns.
• Provide behind-the-scenes support to state, local and federal political campaigns in the lead-up to the 2020 elections. 
• Help manage advocacy coalitions, including email and schedule management.
• Write/draft reports, client memos, press releases, and conduct research.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience working on political campaigns, for an elected official, or for progressive causes
• Strong written communications skills
• Attention to detail and adaptability
• Ability to work under a deadline
• Demonstrated interest in political and policy work
• Experience with Microsoft Office, NGP/VAN

Preferred but not Required:

• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
• Experience using social media to advance policy goals
