Competitive NY congressional campaign seeks Deputy Finance Director

A competitive congressional campaign in western NY is hiring a Deputy Finance Director to start immediately. This individual will work closely with the Finance Director and Campaign Manager.

 

Responsibilities
-Staff and manage the candidate for a call time operation that includes 25-30 hours of call time per week

-Conduct and oversee donor research of prospective donors

-Work with the Finance Director to implement an aggressive finance plan

-Staff the candidate at meetings with potential donors

-Manage follow up communication with pledged donors and prospective donors

-Help track and manage the team's progress in fundraising

-Manage relationships with donors

-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

-Excellent organizational and time management skills

-Ability to coach and manage the candidate during call time

-Excellent communication and persuasive skills

-Strong work ethic and willingness to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends

-Ability to think creatively and strategically about fundraising

-Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and NGP preferred

-Superb verbal and written communication skills

-Experience in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere

-Ability to manage several tasks and projects at the same time

-A sense of humor and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment

-A basic understanding of federal campaign finance rules and regulations

-At least one cycle of campaign experience
