Top US Senate Campaign in Texas seeks a Political Outreach Director.
The Political Outreach Director will develop and execute
the outreach and implementation of statewide trips and key points of contact,
build coalitions in counties across the state in support of the candidate, and
serve as a representative for the campaign in state & local stakeholder
meetings and public events.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with the team to develop, execute, and track the outreach, engagement strategy for communities, stakeholders, and other key organizations.
- Coordinate with the county organizations to facilitate the outreach engagement strategy and build coalitions in Texas to ensure that effective outreach strategies are implemented.
- Create and implement external communications and timelines to educate and provide campaign information to stakeholders, coalitions, and elected officials where appropriate; including correspondence, social media engagement, and other in-person engagement with partners.
- Prepare and develop memos and briefings for events, where appropriate, for the Campaign Manager, Finance Director, and Candidate.
Competencies:
- Extensive background in outreach, coalition building, and/or strategic communications from previous campaigns, government roles, or advocacy groups.
- Experience developing and implementing effective outreach plans, managing communications, and representing a principal or serving as a surrogate where appropriate.
- Dedicated to flipping Texas from Red to Blue.
Work Environment. This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and
phones. This role also requires car and air travel.
Travel. This role will require regular travel.
