Position: Senior Research Associate

 

Description: The DSCC is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Senior Research Associate for the 2018 cycle. Senior Research Associates will work closely with the Research Director and Deputy Research Directors on developing opposition research in targeted U.S. Senate races. Senior associates will also work directly, and at times autonomously, with Senate campaigns to support opposition research efforts.

 

Skills/Experience:

 

  • Previous political research experience required, 1-2 cycles of campaign experience preferred.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information – news articles, votes, primary source materials – into factual and concise narratives.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis, records & research databases, primary source documents.
  • Creative thinking and willingness to problem solve.
